SPORTSMANSHIP INFORMATION

We appreciate your attendance at Mechanicsburg Senior High School Athletic events, but we need your help in supporting our efforts to promote sportsmanship.

Fans need to remember that your paid or complimentary admission entitles you to watch student-athletes exhibit what they have learned in the athletic classroom, not a license to verbally assault others.  We ask that you be POSITIVE and SUPPORTIVE of our athletes, coaches and officials.

  • Please cheer for your team, but don’t ridicule the opposing team.  Derogatory comments made towards individual players, coaches or officials will result in you being removed from this event.
  • Learn the rules of the game.  It will help you understand why certain situations take place.
  • Be respectful of the referee’s decisions.
  • If you are a parent, try to be a “team” fan, not a “my kid” fan.
  • Be a good role model, both through your own actions and by censuring those around you whose behavior is unbecoming.
  • Remember that noisemakers, pom poms, signs, and balls are NOT PERMITTED in the gym area.  Pep bands and kicking of the bleachers will not be permitted during game action.
  • All spectators must adhere to the MASH Dress Code – you must be wearing a shirt!

Please do not engage in UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT toward the athletes, officials, coaches, or fans while attending any high school event or in any fashion draw NEGATIVE ATTENTION toward yourself!

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES WILL RESULT IN YOU BEING ASKED TO LEAVE THE EVENT.

Thank you for your help and cooperation.  We hope that you enjoy this event!!
